Vermaelen used to be quite good, he had some injuries and i believe he lost his place to Koscielny, i remember them calling him the verminator. for ￡15m fvckin good price i think.

Barcelona have now given Pique two proper centrebacks, his confidence now will be much higher, personally i wouldn't of been able to play to the best of my ability next to Bartra or Macherano, psychologically i would of felt weak and probably be error prone.
Runs up like 10 yards for a header when there was no cover behind him + in a non-dangerous area of the pitch, leaving a massive gap behind him.
