because he is not disciplined enough to play a particular position. if he plays as a striker, he will drop to deep and wont be able to do the damage in the box and stretch the defence, and when he plays as an attacking midfielder, he is not stay there, he will drop as a centre midfielder to be getting the ball

I wouldn't say Rooney's bad he's passed it he was at his peak a couple seasons ago.. But, if you play as a SS or more of a attacking midfielder and you score 15 goals with 15 assists a season I don't think that's bad, really?
Comparing Benzema to Rooney that's just ridiculous lol. Benzema plays with about 9 world class players lol. Rooney has like one or two world class players alongside him.

Nah he was always this bad, as soon as Man utd stopped impressing that's when he failed to continue being overrated. Look at the 2010-11 season, he was awful, goal drought here and then. Went 9 weeks without scoring, he does this a lot. Goes multiple weeks without doing anything. Now that Man utd isn't winning there is nothing to defend him. He's not so overrated anymore now that everyone knows he's awful.
He hit his prime at like 21 years old.
