<----- I?igo Martinez (I'm not sure if you are able to see my avatar), in my opinion deserves to be called up to the national team. No, he isn't injured however (getting a little side-tracked here) he did get into a vehicle collision earlier this week after eating dinner with a couple of teammates (Illaramendi was present at the dinner too and looks like he was celebrating the Real Sociedad victory, lol). I?igo is alright though and has been performing well in matches. I believe that the national team won't call him due to not being recognized and playing in such prestigious clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico de Madrid. Players like Moreno, likewise.
i think i can explain, Inigo Martinez is overlooked for 2 reasons i can think of
1 Ramos, Pique are CBs, Javi Martinez can play CB and Bartra looks like the successor of Ramos in the future.
2 he has made a couple mistakes before, for instance from what i know he scored an own goal for Man United last season and he scored an own goal from far away in a U21 game for Spain against Georgia.
but why wouldn't they call him up, perhaps it could be because Sociedad failed to get Champions league, or he's messed up a lot, or even that Sociedad's defense has been broken a lot. Maybe he is prone to mistakes.
Sociedad isn't as good a team as Madrid or Barca, which is why Bartra was called up for Spain's Euro qualifications, but other than that i don't see why not.
his OG for Georgia he just wanted to be cool, i doubt he would make the same mistake for the actual team.
to Summarize: Ramos Pique Martinez are still young, Bartra is a talented defender and young who is basically guaranteed a spot as he plays for Barca (he's already replaced Pique in the NT).
he made a horrible OG in the U21 team and Sociedad failed to get into the CL again
as for Moreno, i would have chosen him instead of Cesar and even Alba. in the WC in the games they played together i did not see them defend or even pass the ball, it was like they completely disappeared, as such they share the blame with the rest of the team.
He's a good defender I agree he deserves a call up, maybe he needs to play for a Better team ?
