Liverpool aren't fit to be mentioned in the same sentence as United. I don't support either club but as a neutral it's obvious United are much bigger. Liverpool had a great era in the seventies and eighties but were always punching far above their weight. Clubs like Newcastle and Man City have far bigger home support and catchment areas. Liverpool are so lucky it's unreal.

I think their squad was allowed to become old and past its sell by date, i am very picky when it comes to sell by dates as i once bought a pack of pork pies 3 days out and was sick for days.

The fact that they finished 7th place this season is actually widely ignored around here...
