To be honest, I don't miss it. In a few days time I'd forget that it even happened.
I have my own complaints. It turns out the same usual teams winning the tournament every 4 years. It gets boring seeing the same 3 each time (Brazil, Germany, Netherlands) in semifinals. Brazil in semifinal in 4 out of last 6 WC, Germany in semifinals in last 4 WC (and last 6 out of 8 WC). Netherlands in semifinals in 3 out of past 5 semifinals
What they should do is put all these 3 to 4 in one group in first round so that 2 are eliminated. Brazil, Germany, Netherlands, and possibly colombia as 4th.
Then you will easily have someone new. In 2002 it was new teams like turkey and south Korea made it to semifinals. That was more fun and exciting. US made it to quarter finals too in that cup.
Repetitive result has no value at all. If in 2018 also its same repeated result I'd never again see it
Even the quarterfinals appear repetitive now. It's like no competition to see for the audience
Teams like Algeria were actually semifinal material. They held down Germans even better than Argentines when they produced goal in final minutes of overtime. They showed good strength by producing 4 goals against South Korea.
Another good team showing strength was France when they made it to QF by conceding very little goals -- producing 10 goals and conceding 2 goals. They too were possibly semifinal material like Algeria.
So these same selected 3 or so countries really highjack the entire tournament
Miss Brasil
To be honest, I really miss it. Just like you , I was listening to we are one and I just miss the crazy atmosphere this world cup had. Its beautiful. I was getting teary eyed when they showed the ending video. I will certainy have memories of this world cup and I do not like the fact that I have to wait 4 more years just to re live them.
I do but I'll forget it when I watch Real Madrid play again
