But I don't think they made the best signings in the transfer window. A lot of teams did great this year, and it's pretty difficult to choose which club did the best. Arsenal immediately replaced their lost players by getting Debuchy, Chambers, Sanchez, and Welbeck. That award, for me however, goes to Chelsea for bringing in Fabregas and Costas. Both have made a huge impact to the team, and they're definitely the team to watch in the Premier League and Champions League. Even if their key first team players get injured, they have very good backups in Drogba, Felipe Luis, and Remy.
As far as who had a terrible transfer window, I'd say Barca did an awful job this year. Two very old center backs aren't gonna cut it, especially after Vermaelen is already injured days after signing for the club. Instead of blowing 75 mill on Suarez, who is very talented, they should've focused this transfer window on getting a new defensive line, seeing that Pique isn't the monstrous center back he once was.
It was never Florentino's desire to sell Xabi Alonso and Di Maria. These players told the club they wanted to leave. The club did all they could to make them stay, but they were just not happy with the board. They made great signings but they will never replace these players. There is no player that relieves pressure yet feeds balls throughout the pitch other than xabi. Neither is there any other player with the type of stamina and control with the ball like Angel.
Barcelona made terrible signings. Their CBs are too old. They were bought in form and will never improve. They will die out in about a year or two. Douglas was a weird move. His stats shows no impression to sign for a top European team.
Chelsea made a great window. Their strikers shows how much their attack will offer this season.
Letting go of di María was a bad idea. As for the Alonso situation, it's not as bad as it seems. Illaramendi will cover for him.
But Barcelona made the worst decisions, buying Vermaelen and buying Matheui. When they could of bought I?igo Martinez and Humnels.
Sad, Di Maria left the club bt still hoping high . kroos, harnendez will show up well I guess.
good or bad decision
