Which is better? Soccer boots with stud or not?

Generally speaking, boots with studs are the best for outdoor play. The studs greatly assist with traction on grass, especially when the field is wet.

If you play on an artificial surface, though, studs can be a disadvantage as they will slip more. In such a case turf shoes are better.

If you go with molded sole (ie: the studs are not removable), its best to get a pair which are best suited to the field you will play on the most. That will usually be your home field. Generally, shorter studs are best for hard surfaces, while longer studs are better for softer ground.

If its within your budget, its best to buy shoes with removable studs, If you buy several different length sets of studs and a stud changing tool, you can adjust your shoes to all field and weather conditions. You can even adjust your shoes in mid match, if necessary.

it depends on what surface you play on if its grass then studded footwear is a must, I prefer moulded studs as they can be used on both grass and 3g. the studs give you grip and assist in any sudden change in direction you may have to make. I also carry a pair of astro trainers so that if the grass is solid or the 3g is a bit on the old side then they are better for grip. I usually use Adidas Kaiser 5 as my moulded studded boot and the same make and name for my Astro trainers.

So I tried out for soccer team for versing other school for the first time and I was wondering which soccer boots should i get, the soccer boots with studs or not? And please give me a good explanation why it is better to use neither.

2. Btw what is stud in soccer boot for? Is it for grip?

Thx for answering! :)
