Negredo is an excellent forward. Remember first half of the last season: he was starter, and Dzeko was his alternative. He was very decent, I thought.
But question for me was: why would Pellegrini buy player like Negredo, when he already had Aguero, Dzeko and Jovetic at the time of his purchase? Manchester City didn't need Negredo, but paid big bucks to get him. Now he lets him go.
He went to Valencia as he wasn't going to get much 1st team action as Manchester City have Aguero, Dzeko and Jovetic.
He's never really adapted to life here.
This is potentially good business by City. If he has a good loan spell he'll sign permanently for a City profit and reducing squad size has always been key (Lescott, Pantilimon, Richards).
Negredo went to Valencia which is in La Liga.
