This is the first season since Highbury where they haven't got to worry about the stadium debt. I suspect Wenger is hoping to transform Alexis into the new Thierry Henry. Henry joined the club as a winger, but Wenger turned him into arguably the best Arsenal player in history.

Wenger has also stated he hasn't finished in the transfer window, I suspect Khedira will still come, maybe a deadline day transfer.

We will win the league, if not this year then next year. Imagine the impact of Ozil-Sanchez level transfers every season on the team. Sure Ozil may have flopped, but the money they have to spend ;)

If they did not fire Wenger during the 9 year drought then they won't do it now after winning 2 trophies, cups or titles such as the FA Cup and Community Shield.

I think that they are afraid to do so, because then they will be afraid of where the next manager will take the club thereafter. The situation that saw United crumble after Furguson left is no motivation for Arsenal to get rid of their long time manager either. Also, Arsene Wenger has managed to take Arsenal to the UCL every season, so all this must have been considered.

this team arsenal has, without wenger it will be at 10th place, look at how did the former arsenal players do after they left arsenal - flamini, helb, fabregas, clichy.. they are average only arsenal make them look better than they actually are

Seriously he is so irretating. he made 5 signings. How many was positions we needed filled? Maybe 2. Are we the only "top" team around here with no STRIKER. Giroud is good for second. We need Cavani or Falcao (i wouldnt mind reus also as be is capable of.playing anywhere on attack including ST) plus a DM preferly Carvalho or bender. I wouldnt mind.Khedira or Schneiderlain
