I think things could have been a lot easier if LVG was given the squad Fergie left. But Moyes i should say was wrongly picked by Fergie.
Moyes had the money had CL football yet he never was able to bring in anyone until the deadline day. Probably never seriously went for anyone. The squad under Sir Alex did reach the expiry date after the league title win and needed changes.
But now it will take time for us. But things in football change very quickly nowadays. The ones who are laughing at us now can easily cry again after 2-3 years.
Arsenal are no different. Wenger is yet to improve the squad on areas he NEEDs improving. A manager who is been there leaves and a new one comes in its not that easy as some people think.Trust me. Arsenal's squad is not that strong as people say it is.
I can't see that happening - when you rule the roost in your land and you keep winning the league, being 1st every odd season means you can not do anything else better - but only try to sustain , for as long as possible your status as Champions.
The only place for a club to go if its constantly top ...is down.
United fell down and will now take a very long time to climb back up that table as I see 4 or 5 clubs with better stability than them who will occupy and finish higher places.
As for Arsenal and ourselves - we've both been starved of the title, we want to be consistent for many seasons to come and nick a title here or there - so the only place we will be going is further up lol
likewise, Arsenal themselves are well over due a league title - and they're always starting each season attempting get a winning run going that can catapult them to the top or there abouts.
I can't see Arsenal doing a post Fergie MUFC thing - unless the new guy who comes in and trys to emulate Wenger by being cautious with the cash.
If that new guy does this - Arsenal will slip out of top 4 as the rest will keep spending and strengthening their squads and likewise, the prmeier leagues 20 teams will just get better and better meaning teams who traditionaly finished 1-4 will find it much more difficult to achieve their regular high 1-4 place finishes.
Chelsea and Man City are where they are in the table solely because of £££.
I dont think wenger will leave Arsenal for 2 3 yrs
Well Arsenal's main aim in life is to finish 4th so the new manager won't be under much pressure.
No. Wenger is not so egotistical that he had to pick his own replacement. The next manager can only be more willing to spend cash than wenger. Wenger will not leave the next manager with a weak "fergie'' squad like Ferguson did.
i think they will continue to look at the books at take of the monies instead of investing
noings
Or will they do the opposite and improve?
