Yes, I do watch it on TV and by such, do contribute somewhat in paying my cable fees and the like but that goes towards a lot more than just the odd football match You could also say a small percentage, very small, of my income ends up in the coffers of Man U, Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal and hundreds of other clubs all over the world through my purchasing of advertised goods required to function normally in society.
Yes I still enjoy and get entertained by most matches I watch but there is no way, not a chance, that I will knowingly hand over my hard-earned money to a system that is corrupt from the top down at almost every professional level of the sport I grew up playing, loving and being addicted to for so long.
Of course football isn't the only sport that is tainted in this way, but it IS the world's greatest and by a huge margin, it's most popular and as such stands alone as the world's most seedy and scandalous......and I'm being fairly charitable in saying that!!
The league is frankly a joke, as are most big european leagues...we know 3 teams will compete for the top, midtable teams don't have a prayer at the title, I don't know why a team bothers to get promoted and lose 30 times on the season...that gap will keep widening with sugar daddies running around pumping money into clubs which is sad for the game. I think the EPL should implement a type of cap system where teams are limited to spend a certain amount of money, In America most leagues are unpredictable and a team will win it if they are smart in building their squad, in Europe you can simply purchase the league for several millions while FIFA do absolutely nothing about it because hey they earn more money that way.
