What americans think about the USA vs BEL soccer game?

For a very long time our Goalkeeping was lacking. Usually the U.S. team will have one or two really good strikers and a mediocre goalkeeper. Casey Keller was good, but until Tim Howard came along we just didn't have that support in the back. The U.S. SHOULD have a great goalkeeper as goalkeeping takes skills that are prominent in the top U.S. sports.... baseball, football, and volleyball. This is an area in which the U.S. should excel. Soccer has gone up and down in popularity through the decades, but the youth soccer has been very strong for the past 20-30 years. As more and more of our players go abroad to play professionally we are getting the experience that we need. Just within the past 20 years I have seen how our players have become more aggressive. We used to play like pansies and were always getting stomped on. Now we do some of the stomping. I think that our defense was really really weak, but so was the front line. The young players that came in at the end had a different perspective - not to mention that "hunger" to score from watching the game on the sidelines - this is something that we need... fresh blood. Howard will surely not be playing the next WC. Hopefully, we can continue to progress on the goalkeeping front and not go backward.

It was a great/ fun game. A couple of missed shots could, have changed the outcome. In the end the Belgian players were better skilled than the USA players. It does show in the next WC the USA may be ready to make a run into the quarter finals.

And yes, Howard was great in goal. The Belgian players actively applauded his efforts after the game. He was awesome!

May be if US play on Europe you can become on of the favorites for the next WC and not against my shitty soccer team (we suck, I know). US have a good future related to socces. Greattings.
