I would have to go with Tim Howard at the moment. His performance against Belgium was astonishing as everyone knows by now. He was by far the best player in the USA squad throughout the tournament and he meant so much to their team, and you could almost argue he was the reason they got through the Group of Death. Now thats not to take away anything from Ochoa, he was an absolute stone wall against Brazil and for the majority of the Netherlands game. But if you look at club level play, Howard has the edge there and his nation depended on him most.
Both were brilliant in the World Cup, but the edge goes to the guy who broke the record for most saves in a single World Cup game
i would say ochoa because he puts his body on the line
ochoa
