The Saints performance put Liverpool on the back foot and could've come away with a win. Given they've added a number of new faces this bodes well for Saints progress. More faces maybe added. Far from the doom mongers predicting a season of struggle, I think Saints could be building an exciting skillful team.
They seem to trade places yearly, I thought Southampton looked better, Swans beat united but it was not a polished game for either side. The Southampton Liverpool match was a good game, both sides played fairly well (offensivley) with similar foibles on the defensive sides
