Shouldn't Liverpool break the bank for Shaqiri?!?

I'm a big Shaqiri fan so luckily for you I have a realistic estimation for what he's worth. He's a great crosser and set piece taker and he's a good dribbler but not on the same level as Messi, Neymar, or Di Maria. I wouldn't expect a whole lot of goals from him though. He does get in dangerous situations inside box but he lacks a cool head in front of goal. Most of his goals are shots around the 18 yard box. I wouldn't break bank for him just because I think coutinho and sterling are similar players to him although Shaqiri is a better set piece taker. I think the maximum I would pay for him right now if I were Liverpool would be around £22 million.

Bayern have both players that scored hat tricks at the world cup Thomas Mueller and Xherdan Shaqiri.

Ribery and Robben only have a couple of good years left so Shaqiri will be staying at Bayern to take over a spot.

Got enough attacking players. I would of preferred him over Markovic and Lallana but happy with the current squad. Shaqiri joining will be even better but I think Bayern wants to keep hold of him for the future.

I'd of wanted him 2 months ago but now we have signed markovic and lallana don't need another midfielder. He's much better than those two aswell.

I would have preferred him over lallana. Rodgers messed up. imagine

no juventus need him more and sorry but he isn't world class, yet

I wouldn't want him.

We were rumoured to be after him for a long while but just recently it seems we will no longer bid for him. Shaqiri is one of the best players in the world, he is world class! We saw his performances for Switzerland at the World Cup and how awesome he was. The only reason he wasn't first choice at Bayern last season is because they have their established stars like Robben,Ribery,Muller etc. So it was hard for him to pin down a starting place among all that world class talent. But he is only 22 years old and he's only going to get better. He is Switzerland's Maradona and the Swiss have some very talented players. We sold Suarez for £100 million so I think we should go out of our way to buy Shaqiri even if he costs £50 million. Shaqiri is a world class talent and anyone who doubts this will get a chance to see him again when England take on Switzerland in a Euro 2016 qualifier on the 8th of September. What do you all think of this Swiss talent?
