Soccer is the best sport in the world.
It certainly beats sitting lazily on the sofa, eating Cheetos & watching tv. Playing soccer will make you fit & healthy, & a healthy life is a happy life. So yes, you should play soccer. It can only benefit you.
So you say you're scared you might let the team down, huh? Who isn't? Everyone, no matter how confident, has had that fear. Even the best players in the world have had that feeling. Its all about overcoming that fear. Practice makes perfect. If you practice well- mentally you're prepared. You know that you have practiced alot and you really know your sh*t well, so that fear of letting the team down vanishes. Nothing better than playing well or even scoring goals and knowing that you played well because of all that hard work. Make the name on the back of that jersey proud. Make memories with your teammates, who'll be with you when you win or loose. Play, make memories which you will cherish 30 years from now, and have fun!

Ok, so I kinda sorta maybe want to play soccer, even though I've never played soccer a day in my life. I have no idea of how to play except get the ball to the goal. My friend told me that you dont have to try out or anything so basically you're already on the team. She also told me the coach said you dont have to have any experience because he'll teach you. I want to play because I just want to wear the jerseys or the sweatshirts with my name on it and all that. Also, I want to do it to stay in shape because I'm too lazy to actually get up and exercise at home and whatever, but I'm scared that I might let the team down or I might fall. Thats why I'm not doing anything now. I'm not the most confident person even though people have told me I'm athletic and all that. I'm very shy. I want to do it to get myself out there too. I'm not trying to be popular or anything I just want to break out of my shell and the shyness. So... Should I?
