This is what happens when a referee doesn't do his job early in the game. He let all these minor fouls go early on, so the players starting doing more serious fouls, and the ref let those go too so it became a bloodbath out there. Players will always try to push it and see how far they can go before they get a yellow card. If a ref doesn't make them knock it off soon, it becomes a mess. Both teams are guilty of a lot of nasty fouls but it's the ref's fault it got that bad.

That was a good solid south american match, The ref let it go on both sides. only four cards the entire match,2/2, if that was England there would have been twenty.

The better team won, and though I am not a fan of Neymar , I hope that he is OK.
