Felt sorry for Brazil losing in such unbelievable circumstances, but it has to be said their defending was a travesty. Attacking non-stop from the start, they immediately left huge gaps that the Germans saw immediately and took full advantage of in just over ten minutes. Before the realization of how that first goal was conceded had sunk in, the South Americans found themselves 3, then 4 goals down and the match was over.



Full credit to Germany for the clinical and world class way they went about finishing Brazil off and I doubt even Tiaggo Silva and/or Neymar would have made much difference to the end result though seven goals might have been a stretch.



This 2014 version of Brazil was a poor imitation of previous ones.

From the moment I realized Brazil would be up against Germany, I felt my heart sink as I knew that Germany would defeat them. Even though Brazil is a great team and has won 5 times, Germany is a little more composed. I think if Silva would have been present, Brazil wouldn't have lost by such a large margin. Also, if Neymar had played, he probably could have scored an additional goal. Regardless, Germany still would have won, but Brazil wouldn't have lost so brutally.

I am just very embarrassed. The team had the capability of putting up a good fight, but allowed themselves to lose all their confidence. I highly doubt they would've won without Neymar and Silva, but they had the chance to do well. But it was like watching some 7th graders playing with their feet tied together. I am Brazilian and this was just a huge mess. We lost so brutally and on our own ground too! Soccer/Futbol in general is such a big part of Brazil's identity. Such a shame!

A lot of Brazilians are mad at the Germans, but really? Germany just played a good game. They saw opportunities and made goals so they deserved the win. Brazil didn't even try.

Brazil have gone from playing mesmerizing joga bonito football like the legends of '82, and now they're a bunch of diving, cheating, goal-disallowing, thug tactics hatchetmen with no skills.



The current Brazil team are a disgrace to all the legendary previous teams and I have zero sympathy for those untalented cheaters.

I hate to say but i have no sympathy at all for Brazil. They've been poor on many levels all tournament, they've definately had the lions share of decisions go their way, and their arrogance throughout has been sickening. I'm pleased Germany gave them a pumping and gave no room for pitiful excuses which would no doubt have followed a 2-1 loss for example.
