giroud is a old school striker good in the air and doing runs near post and holding up the ball.
welbeck on the other hand is a modern striker he is a quicker striker that can run behind the defence unlike giroud he isn't as good in the air a giroud but can do simple headers as well and hold up the ball but with less ease.
giroud would work better in arsenal's formation because of the midfield has th pace (sanchez, ramsey,)
welbeck would be a 70 minute sub who can take advantage of tired defenders
hope this answers your question
they both would need to score more goals thought to be classed as amazing
Giroud is horrible, I'm sorry but he is by far the worst striker out of the top 7 sides besides Adebayor, he makes no runs and is very one dimensional, sure he holds up the ball well but who cares? Arsenal try to walk it in anyway, Welbeck isn't any better but Wegner is clueless and won't buy a proper goal scorer, why not go for Remy? 10.5 mill and you would have had a fantastic goalscorer proven in the PL, Remy would have scored at least 20 EPL goals with Arsenal's midfield behind him.
Giroud is better at finishing and playing as a striker but Welbeck is a lot more versatile and brings more extra skills to his game. He can play in more position, better work ethic, better defensive qualities, tracks back more, better in the air.. etc
Arsenal would do well to play them both up together i think that could work well and will take of the work load and pressure of both.
Giroud
Arsenal missing Giroud than wellback
Giroud is a quality striker, people just bandwagon hating him. People forget how well he played for the first few months of last season, but he tired because he had no backup.
giroud
