Some of the big-name clubs with billions in revenue actually have youth camps where they "raise" stars that they recognize from a young age. I know Barca has one.
Japan has similar... but for baseball.

National-level players start very young. Have you heard about the "FIFA U-17 World Cup"? Yes, such a thing exists. Yes, you're already too old to join THAT national team.
Many professional players are debuting at 17-18. That's also the age range of the higher youth divisions of most professional teams.
Even if you started young, your chances to make it big are very slim, unless you're really talented and train hard from day one. Football is very popular among young children; a lot of kids share your dream and face a lot of competition from other kids Most won't last a full year there. Most will give up when they realize how hard is it. Only the best will remain.

See if you can find a local US Soccer Development Academy and get into the program. US Soccer is developing athletes at your age and younger.
