I'd take either, though I don't want any of them earning on ￡200,000+ per week, because we already have players on ridiculous wages e.g. Rooney.



Van Persie under Van Gaal should be worth his wages (￡250,000, I think), though no other player should be on more than ￡200,000 per week, unless we get some like C.Ronaldo.



Vidal should be on a maximum of ￡180,000 per week and same with Di Maria.



Personally, I'd take Vidal, though both are world class players.



Ideally, if we were to get Vidal, I'd use him as a creative central midfielder (not a number 10) and play him alongside a defensive midfielder.



Since Ander Herrera is going to be a creative central midfielder, Vidal should play alongside him as a defensive midfielder.



Here are some alternative options for defensive midfield and wing:



Defensive midfielder - Alex Song, Fofana, Gonalons, Javi Martinez, Khedira, Kondogbia, Luiz Gustavo or William Carvalho.



Winger - Andre Ayew, Cuadrado, Depay, Di Maria, Everton Ribeiro, Griezmann, Ibai Gómez, Iker Muniain, James Rodríguez, Perisic, Reus, Shaqiri or Yarmolenko.
