Man utd fans, what do you honestly think about welbeck.?

I’ve campaigned for years for United to get rid of him. I was saying that United should pay someone £5 million to take him off our hands so receiving £16 million for him looked a good deal. Now, as soon as he’s gone I sorta wish we hadn’t.

I was doing a bit of research on career goal scoring rates ( goals to games - not including the usual couple of duff seasons as young players find their feet ) before shooting my mouth off as you do …

Diego Costa ( last six seasons ) = 42%

Mario Balotelli ( last eight seasons ) = 43%

Hernandez ( last five seasons ) = 46%

Rooney ( last eleven seasons ) = 54%

Van persie ( last ten seasons ) = 50%

Suarez ( last ten seasons ) = 57%

Jackson Martinez ( last eleven seasons ) = 63%

Falcao ( last eight seasons ) = 68%

Welbeck ( last seven seasons ) = 22%

A good player.

Most agree that his finishing needs working on, but other than that, he's a hard worker and a very good player to have.

He could have been a key player for us, in my opinion.

It will be interesting to see how he does when given a run as a striker.

Manchester United played him on the wing a lot.

Also, he performs well in Europe, so I expect him to score some important Champions League goals for Arsenal FC.

I wish we kept him.

He's okay at best. Im glad hes gone as hes only dead weight

good , but not one of the best.

Not a MU fan but did anyone here read SAF autobiography? he pretty much said he USED Welbeck because he's such a good team player and some other stuff cant remember right now lol.

He usually doesn't know what he is doing inside the penalty box although he is very good physically. Sweet 16 mil money shaved off from Arsenal hahhahahaha

I'm not a Utd fan but I'll answer anyway. His legs are fine but his feet are terrible, hence his goalscoring record.

He was a promising player for us. He was a hardworking player, and tried his best every time he was on the field. We saw glimpses of his abilities and talents, but he was never able to deliver consistently. What frustrated me about him was that he had the speed, the dribbling skills, and he knew how to make intelligent runs, but he always lacked w/ his final touch and he was never able to finish.

However, he's definitely had his share of bright moments at Old Trafford. His thunderous goal against Stoke on his debut, his goal in the FA Cup against City, as well as his goal against Real Madrid in the first leg, and marking Xabi Alonso out of the game in the second leg of the Champions League will live long in my memories lol

As a United fan, I can only hope that he succeeds in Arsenal. Maybe Wenger sees something in him and knows how to get the best out of him better than Ferguson, Moyes AND, Van Gaal

Wellbeck is a versatile player and I believe he will do very well for Arsenal.

Sadly, he was played out of position at Man United, all too often, so his strike rate was always going to be low while there.

He works his a$$ off...He's got talent though but not wc talent...

If he can improve on his finishing, First touch and intelligence, he can be a good player

Put bias and the bandwagon aside, do you think welbeck is a quality player, and are you sad he left? Do you think he will succeed as a striker being provided by ozil, Cazorla and sanchez?

I have a weird feeling he is going to be a huge success for us.

Hard worker, professional, good attitude. Never managed to really develop his game because of better strikers ahead of him and add it to the pressure that the media and the fans put on him being a Manchester United player were one mistake will make the sports headline worldwide.

Needs to improve his finishing and awareness inside the box. His link up play is underrated. Suits that one touch passing football that you call the 'orchestra' that Arsenal use in the final third.

I think he will thrive at Arsenal were there is less pressure of competition. Don't expect him to be the next Thierry Henry or Van Persie or Bergkhamp and he will be fine.

EDIT: Yes i am sad that he left and that too to Arsenal. Hopefully he will score a lot of goals and succeed for you but not against us of course.

good, but not 'United good' enough
