I am neither English nor Spanish...but the fact is that English Premier League is way above La Liga.
La Liga is still only 2 football giants' league, although Spanish are recently desperately trying to make it more competitive ( which to me, by the way, terribly failed ).
Take out Barca and Real and what is left? Atletico Madrid, with all respect, doesn't belong nowhere near these two. In my opinion, it was rather an accident that they made it to the European Champions League final last season. This 2014/15 season could prove me right.
English Premier League is the most interesting national competition in the world. Simply because English, especially in the recent years, have so many international players, high quality players, who raised quality of football in EPL far beyond anyone can reach. Less fortunate consequence for the English football lovers is that their national team isn't among world best, which last few world cups clearly support.
For all those who have doubts about EPL football quality and its level: just have a look at developing 2014/15 season - there are 5 clubs that almost equally compete for
EPL title. Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United, who might be just a step behind Chelsea and Manchester City at the season end.
If You add Everton and Tottenham to it, which both can upset any of the five above... EPL picture should be complete. Or ??
Some of the EPL middle of table clubs, before all Newcastle United or Southampton and Stoke City, are above an average Spanish team.
All in all, take out mighty Real and Barcelona from La Liga, and (maybe, not so sure) Atletico Madrid .. and what is left from Spanish Primera Division is levelled with 4-5 million - people - Bosnia Premier League, or the most of other, bellow average European national leagues. Or at least, not very far from it.
Considering above said, I think that Spanish failure in Brazil this summer should be an eye-opener for some...
EPL is one of the most viewed league worldwide. it is a league cup with many stars players very much competitive than laliga. Spanish team are better than English Team but the level of play EPL is higher than La Liga.

I'd say they're about even at the minute... La Liga teams have been much better in Europe in recent times but the gap is shrinking imo and the Premier League teams are starting to catch them up again...
Now that Barca have declined La Liga is not as powerful as it once was...
I think EPL is better than la liga because la liga is competation between two or thee teams but in eol almost 7 8 teams compet to win the title and watching epl is far better than la liga.....

La Liga is sh*t.........................totally boring football and I have no interest in it. I don't care who won the CL (performances in Europe aren't crucially indicative of a nation's league).
The Prem is the most watched league worldwide for a reason, it being the best. The top 6 (six), Prem clubs would all be in with a shout of the la Liga title, and entertain the supporters too.
