Is English football FINISHED ?

Again ?

Record low attendance, low tv audience......................is OUR national team going the way of Man Utd or should WE spend more on developing young players ?

No.

Not finnished just caught in a downward spiral of ever increasing mediocrity. Young players are being produced but they get lost somewhere between the academy stage and the first team. It requires Premier League clubs to commit to promoting youth into the first team giving them the confidence and experience to play at a high level consistently. It's all too easy to parachute in foreign talent for short term gain at the expense of young home talent which is then relegated to decaying on the benches. There's too much money being spent in the wrong places. The FA doesn't seem to have the power to change things and the Premier League cares nothing for the national game. It's bottom line is cash generation, self promotion and world domination.

Yes

Our national team is sh*t. I'm not surprised people don't watch it

No, English football is not finished but the (FA) needs to reevaluate what is going on across the European continent and across England to invest in its youth development programs into what Germany are doing.

Youth should be playing football rather than wasting time playing video games.

Woy is like the conservative party, tiresome, boring, delusional, and english! thats says it all!

Meaningless friendlies and minnow nations to qualify against is yawn-inducing

I absolutely hope so, i absolutely despise the National team, they are the most boring bunch of passionless losers i've ever seen.

I'm delighted they are getting low viewing and attendance figures because that's what their pathetic boring football deserves, they try and fob us of selling expensive tickets and shirts at £90, £90 for the embarrassment of wearing England shirt isn't worth it to me.

The players don't give a damn and are painfully boring, Roy Hodgson is a boring fossil of a manager and how and why he got the job is a total mystery, England don't deserved to be watched for this, not only are they struggling to sell tickets but nobody's watching them on TV either, so literally people won't watch England for free, lmao.

And why would and should they? pathetic team that always disappoints, boring football and playing the weakest Norway team for years in a friendly. England fans just need to boycott the England teams shirt sales, boycott their games and force the FA to do something, otherwise nobody will watch England because they are boring and sh*t.

No i don't think so.

Again ?

The only way to fix the development of the youth talent is to change the way we coach at the bottom level. Less emphasis on age and physical development and more emphasis on sheer technical ability. The FA should appoint Dario Gradi as the head of youth development and give the man the ability and budget to do what he wants.

As for international weekend... If you love the game, tomorrow is non-league day. Take time out and go see your local non-league team and support the grass routes.

International weekend is so boring. We should encourage our players to play outside of the premier league more often
