I'm trying out for high school soccer.?

I need to know is there any tips. The coach likes to see kid try hard when running. I'm not bad but ok at soccer.

Here's what you need:

1) Positive attitude. If you have a negative mindset and start thinking about all the things that could go wrong. They will. Instead think positive, be positive with yourself, teammates, and coach.

2) Good work ethic. Even if you're not the best player working hard can take you a long way. Work hard to close players down and defence. Work hard to get open for passes and shots.

3) Play simple. Don't overcomplicate things. Play with 2 or 3 touches. Move the ball quickly and move into space to get the ball back. Sometimes you have to dribble (when you have open space). When that time comes don't hesitate dribble with speed and be confident.

4) Communicate. Even if you don't know anyone, open your mouth. Communicate with your teammates. Ask for the ball. Encourage other players to keep playing well. Be a motivator and leader for your team.

5) Take shots. When you have the opportunity to take shots don't pass them up. You can't score if you don't shot. Even if you miss the net, taking the shot is better for your development and will help you stand out.

I can help you improve even more if you want, just check out my stuff.

Were having soccer tryouts since Monday OK here it is

Don't show lazyness or goofing off play serious and have good sportsmanship

Also play a position your best at

Not the one you play like for I play defensive but I play much better as a midfielder don't be scared the coaches aren't mean neither are the high schoolers be confident also be at least in a little shape expect to run and do drills .good luck bro

Unfortunately, tryouts for high school soccer teams are often very different than for youth league teams. Youth league coaches want speed and quickness, but they also want players to be skillful.

Conversely, many high school coaches in the US consider the top priority in tryouts to be physical fitness. They use extreme physical drills during tryouts to cull down their teams. Consequently, those hoping to make a high school team should concentrate on being in top condition at the start of tryouts.

MOVES TO PRACTICE:

step over and other moves would help.

Attacking Tip:

keep the ball close to you

Touch the ball with every step you take.

Practice with small ball. IT REALLY HELPS

Be confident about it

The more time you spend with the ball the more comfortable you will be in situations

PRactice moves and be creative

THe faster you do the move the more the succes rate will be

HOPE THIS HELPED

Juggling will improve your control by the way!

Running and being fit is only 1 side of the game, how you kick, control, pass and head the ball all will come into consideration, your positional sense and to a lesser degree communication with your team mates
