When stationary, a dummy-and-turn is something I use quite a lot. Use your eyes to make it look like you've spotted a place or player to play the ball to, then pretend to go and kick the ball. The opposition player will then often take a gamble and either put a foot out to block the ball, or at least will shift their weight in that direction. What you then need to do is miss the ball, step between the ball and the player marking you, with your back to the player, then use the outside of your foot to take the ball in the opposite direction. A great way of creating space for yourself. Watch clips of Scott Parker, or old clips of Teddy Sheringham - two masters of this skill.
Okay, its been three months playing football and I still don't know how to dodge a player. Whenever I have the ball i'm always nervous and don't know what to do with the ball because I don't know how to dodge. I think my ball handling is pretty good but I still don't know how to dodge a player. Please help me with this problem. ITS BEEN THREE MONTHS!!! I would really appreciate your help.
