How should I approach my college soccer coach?

Just be straight out with him. If you beat around the bush you'll never get to what you want or you'll get information that isn't going to help you. Pull your coach over after practice or before practice or whatever and say something like, "Hey Coach I have to ask you something." Then tell him. He's there to help you as a student. A teacher always appreciates it when a student comes up to them confidently even if it is soccer and not actual school. I have friends who are teachers who say this all the time :) if he can't take your question wait for a little while (not too long though) then ask him when he's available. Hope it helped and good luck :)

i think you have to show your abilities to college soccer management

I play at my community college in the United States but they recruit a lot of foreign players from mainly England and Ireland. They are a great team and nationally ranked. I made the team but I haven't played in any of our 3 games. I dressed all games but 1 and played 2 scrimmages. But I haven't had any game time in my favorite/comfortable position which is defense. Our defenders are great. My brother who always played striker actually started playing defense and he doesn't mind because he actually plays now. I'm happy for him playing but I want to play, and in m position. I want to ask coach what it will take and I'm willing to work hard for it. But how can I ask him what I need to play?
