Look how long the board gave Lennon, after a terrible first season and a bit. Got us knocked out of the SC against Ross County, then knocked out of both European competitions in the qualifiers, then lost the league despite being in the driving seat, with about 3 games to go.
Hopefully we can get Europa League football and just take if from there and see how he progresses as the season goes.
Unless he's a total disaster he will get this season and then be expected to have a team good enough to qualify for the Champions League next season. If the team put in a performance anything like they did last night in next season's Champions League qualifiers he'll be gone.
I think he can do it and needs the support of the board and the fans because he's been thrown into a difficult situation.
He needs a full season at least, he needs to be given a chance. I'm hoping he brings in some of his own players and gets rid of some of the deadwood that are just not good enough.
