On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give him a 7.
Highly, a top winger in the PL, around 7th or 8th best in that position.
When he got injured, I had that sinking feeling that Arsenal were done, our title hopes had been over right there. I remember telling my mates and they didn't believe me and said we had the Ox, but Walcott with Ozil healthy that year would have got us the title.
Also England lost once he went down, had he been at the WC they would have unlocked Costa Rica with the space he'd provide and not have lost to both Italy and Uruguay.
Walcott is invaluable to both club and country even if he's not an amazing player. A different beast of an Arsenal will come to life once he's back, that will be evident.
Overrated winger with nothing but pace and a powerful shot. He never lived up to the hype around him.
He's not a world beater or anything, but he gets a lot of unfair flack. He is good for stretching teams and offering Arsenal an outlet. I think his actual ability is better than stated as well - a very good finisher, quite a good touch at times and decent link up.
He's not on Sterling level of 'great technical as well as quick wide man' but he is relatively good and he's always an option up front as well. In fact I'm surprised he hasn't had a longer go up top with all of Arsenal's problems there. probs cos he is fit about as often as Susan Boyle.

Good side piece to have on a team. He's more effective off the bench imo, fulbacks can't handle his electrifying pace. A good example is against Sweden in Euro 2012.
