Bad Bad Bad Move. Yes you have all those talented players and if Falcao joins he would be another superb player but Negredo is different. Negredo is not as talented as Falcao but he is a more diverse option. Falcao cannot play upfront on his own. He cannot do it, he needs a partner to play off and gives City nothing different to what they already have. Negredo does. Negredo offers the tough physical target man that City can rely on. He can hold the ball up, he can bring in the likes of Jovetic, Silva etc. When a team is Parking the bus, stick him up top, he can occupy one defender causing him all sorts of issues with his sheer physicality and then using this to create space for Aguero etc. City need him for his sheer diversity. When things are not going right, throw him on and the opposition defence suddenly gets a whole new thing to deal with. City would not get that with Falcao.
