Not just that, but the NFL and really most of them these days.
There is not only so much money involved... there are "experts" that would know just which teams would have to win to maximize the revenue... and I wouldn't put it past the greedy commissioners to see that it's done.
No way they could have scripted this World Cup.
If it was accepted Argentina would have won and maybe Messi would have actually deserved the Golden.Ball. Instead Germany win and FIFA gave Messi a totally undeserved Golden Ball that Maradona thinks is embarrassing.
I don't think they would have scripted Brazil being beaten 7-1 by Germany in their own country, nobody is that masochistic. But then again it was the biggest social media sports event in history.
No, I don't. There's 4 years between World Cups; a lot can happen in that time including aging, injuries, new young players coming up ... It's not so easy to win a big event like that from year to year much less over a 4 year span.
That is not scripted. That's just stupidity if you think that. It is a coincidence but if stats like that keep increasing then the pressure will be on the winner for the next world cup.
I don't understand how is this even a good enough reason? You do know France are a good side right? They were the favourites to win the finals and Zidane was immense.
You also forgot about France getting knocked out of the group stage in 2002 and they won it 4 years before.
maybe the players are sold??
