Do Liverpool have more ambition than Arsenal...?

Arsenal fans chanted it all........

"Sign a f&*(ing striker!"

Arsenal didn't have money to pay for their stadium, so they had to be realistic. I don't think they have as much as us but their signings of Ozil and Sanchez show intent.

They don't have many excuses now.

Yes, Liverpool is more ambitious than Arsenal and so is Hull City Tigers.

I will never in my life understand how people say "Arsenal lack ambition/and just aim to finish 4th", now let me get this straight, you expect me to believe that Arsenal and/or Arsene Wegner sit down in a board meeting and say we want to finish 4th and nothing higher, how do you think that would even possibly work? What if Arsenal are leading in April, does Wegner go into the Locker Room before a match and tell his players to throw the match? even if he did, you, as a player, would you do it? There is no reason to just aim for fourth, none whatsoever, people can point to Arsenal spending less then then everyone else, but in reality money isn't everything, I know what you are all thinking Money runs the game and all the rest of it, But think about it, Arsenal were a much better side without Ozil and Sanchez, they weren't needed, City and Chelsea have spent hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars in such a short space of time it's ridiculous, but are only just now having a cohesive strong squad, how many players have signed for large prices and never lived up to them? Countless for all teams, Arsenal would be a lot stronger if they let Wegner do what he wanted, but Arsenal fans are clueless just like many EPL fans thinking that money will solve all of lifes problems, United just spent the most money out of any club in the EPL, and they aren't winning the title, they aren't getting anywhere near it, 4th at Max, but I still think they will finish 5th, spend all the money you want, but a squad that plays for one another like a team is far superior, just look at Dortmund and Atletico Madrid in recent seasons.

At all the people saying Arsenal are tight. We have started spending money over the last two seasons. Ozil for 42.5m and Sanchez for 32m. The only reason we weren't spending so much before was we were paying off the stadium debt, and I respect Wenger for maintaining top 4 and champions league with restricted funds and paying off the stadium.

In interviews, Wenger often says he believes Arsenal can win this season. And without the injuries last season, we probably would have succeeded. Top of the table for 128 days (compared to Chelsea's 64, Liverpool's 59 and City's 11) just shows their ambition.

Yeah Liverpool were remarkable at the end of last season. But as you see with many clubs (including Man United atm and Arsenal towards the end of last season) it doesn't take much to knock them down. Just a couple losses or bad results and they lose their confidence.

Which is more impressive over the last 18 seasons:

Arsenal: 4th 6 times, 3rd 4 times, 2nd 5 times and 1st 3 times. Less than 4th 0 times.

Liverpool: 4th 4 times, 3rd 4 times, 2nd 3 times and 1st 0 times. Less than 4th 7 times.

Both are ambitious, but Arsenal have a misunderstood ambition...they want to win it, but they won't do it at ALL costs....It has to be the Arsenal way, don't overspend balance the books and do with what you got. We're just more conservative, I agree it's much harder but the ambition is there.

100% agree with that claim. I still think Arsenal are have the better team in my opinion but Liverpool look like they're not satisfied with where they're at. Arsenal seem perfectly happy to finish 4th year in and year out. As long as they have a healthy profit margin it's considered to be a successful season.

Yes Liverpool have more ambition than Arsenal because at least they actually want to win the league, they're just to sh*t to do it now, in fact in the last 5 years they've been to sh*t to win anything besides the mickey mouse league cup and they haven't made it to the Champions League the majority of the last 5 years either, they're just a small club who are very envious and bitter towards bigger clubs that win trophies now like Man City and Chelsea.

Arsenal are a losers personified, they are massive cheapskates and all they care about is making some money, they are 100% content to carrying on finishing 4th and getting eliminated in the Champions League Round of 16 every year for the next 50 years, and they show this by the fact that they're as tight as a Nun's p*ssy and will happily allow other rivals clubs to scoop up big players when they themselves had a chance to buy them (like Balotelli and Falcao) and their history of selling their best players to rival clubs (they haven't done it for a year or two but it's the same board and manager so anyone who assumes it couldn't happen again is foolish and deluded) they don't deserve to win anything for being so pathetic and cheap.

Do not get confused. Rodgers and Liverpool board has more ambition than Wenger and Gazidas, however Arsenal as a club are more ambitious, but held back by these people. However we have had to finance a stadium so...

In a sense, when they were mid table they were at least keen on climbing back to the top...even though they can't lol, they've at least moved up....but there's a big improvement for them now, evidently (and sadly) :(

But Arsenal always seem to be content with 4th place and have only worked on maintaining that.

There's no intent or desire to move a higher level or two.

Yes

Yes Liverpools goal is to win the PL. Arsenals goal as usual is to get 4th place trophy, which the will probably fulfill again this year.

Wenger has gone against the grain and spent serious money the past 2 seasons..........we'll see if it works for him this time !
