Can my leather soccer shoes get wet?

They won't be ruin, but leather shoes can lose their shape and shrink if they get too wet and aren't dried properly. If they do get soaked through then the best thing to do is to stuff them with old news paper. This will help them dry and stop them from shrinking while doing so. There is no paint on leather. Leather is died. It can fade over time, but that has nothing to do with water.

Yes it's okay if they get wet.

Leather shoes do get heavier when they get wet (especially the older types). But it's totally okay. Just make sure you dry them with a rag after to speed the process because they can get CRUSTY and STINKY if you let them dry in your bag.

Your friends are just kidding you with regards to the "paint" coming off your boots.Go look for a thing called Dubbin, its a cream that I put on my boots to help make mine waterproof ( I wear Adidas World Cup ) and I live in Scotland where it rains a fair bit. Cleaning wise if your boots are coloured use a cleansing cream and a soft cloth, remove any mud with a brush firstly.

Does it matter if theyre right? Theyre soccer shoes right? Designed to play soccer? If you arent going to use them for the purpose they were designed for youll make a small chinese kid in a sweatshop somewhere very sad. They put a lot of effort into those shoes for you.

I have Nike tiempo. The soccer shoes. I bought tgem just yesterday and im really excited to play. But when i wore them to school, my classmates told me they were leather and couldnt get wet. They said you only clean it with a fabric or something. If it got too wet the paint would peel off. Is this trte???? That would be so sad if it was. :((((
